assisting independent financial advisors
duration – 5 months // year – ’18 // type – client project
project description and brief
An Asset Management Company (AMC) depends on Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) to sell it’s Mutual Funds, since they have access to a large client base that wants to make big investments. One such AMC wanted us to ‘Design a responsive website and app for the IFAs that want to invest in their Mutual Funds. The app and website must also contain other features that the IFAs will found resourceful.’ I worked under a senior designer for this project.
user research
the interface
We created the wireframes after finalizing the Information Architecture. Some of the main sections and features are listed below. Logic Documents were created to make the development process easier.
dashboard
transaction
For the most crucial section of the app, we tried multiple card designs after looking at the steps involved in the currently followed offline process –
We first tried vertical cards that are ideal for short, less number of steps. It’s easier to access the previous steps of the process with this design.
Horizontal cards were finalized for the wireframes as there are different transaction processes like lumpsum, SIP, redemption and withdrawal that needed to be made consistent. Horizontal cards allowed handling large amount of information and complexity involved in each step.
homepage for web portal
The user can log into the web portal from the website’s homepage.
